"The Logline Festival" - OPEN CLICK HERE!

• Contestants will SUBMIT A LOGLINE for their screenplay on or before December 15, 2008.  Multiple loglines from one contestant are accepted. What is a logline?  Will the idea for my screenplay be at risk if I post a Logline?  Please click here for answers to these questions.

• Loglines will be posted on the website and viewers as well as our staff and sponsors will be able to read the loglines and VOTE on their favorite ones.  Viewers will also be able to submit a REVIEW for each logline.  Viewers must vote on and comment / review a minimum of TEN loglines for their votes to count and to be eligible for "The Voters Award."

• Each contestant is allowed one FREE revision submission of their logline.  Each additional revision submission during this round will require a $5.00 processing fee.   For more information on the voting process, please click here.

• Voting ends on April 15, 2009.  The contestants' loglines with the HIGHEST VOTES will have the option to submit their screenplays with a discounted $15.00 entrance fee, a photo, a brief bio, and an application / release form to "The Philadelphia Screenplay Festival." (The release form does not give your rights to your script to us, it merely allows us to post your script on our website without being held responsible for your screenplay's idea. This is why you should copyright your work and submit to the writers guild.)

• The TOP THREE loglines will be awarded with having the screenplay submission entrance fee WAIVED - you still must submit an application but label it "Logline Top Three Winner."  All 20 Logline Finalists will ONLY have to pay a $15 entrance fee to submit their screenplay into the Screenplay Festival.  The Winning Logline will have a guaranteed Online Upload Spot in The Screenplay Festival (Not all Screenplays submitted to the Online Festival will be Uploaded, only the best 20.)

• August 1, 2009 - The contestants' SCREENPLAYS will be POSTED on our website and viewers will be able to VOTE on them along with our staff and sponsors.  Viewers are encouraged to write REVIEWS.  Viewers must vote on and review a minimum of TWO screenplays for their votes to count and to be eligible for "The Voter's Award."

• Contestants are allowed to submit a REVISED screenplay along with a $5.00 processing fee and an application.

• December 1, 2009 - Voting ends and the results are tallied.  The script with the highest ratings (50% of the viewers votes + 50% of the judges votes) wins the Grand Prize.

• The Finalists' screenplays will remain on the website after the conclusion of the festival for agents, producers, and managers to view and contact the writer, under the writer's aggression.  Finalists will be allowed one revised screenplay upload per year.  Each additional upload per year will require a $5.00 processing fee.

Submission Deadlines:

• Early Deadline ($23): August 2, 2008 - February 2, 2009

• Regular Deadline ($30): February 2, 2009 - May 31, 2009

• Late Deadline ($35): June 1, 2009 - July 1, 2009

• Mail must be postmarked by 11:59 PM on the Final Day.
