Why does the FBI get involved, is he doing something illegal?
The two ends of this logline cause it to sort of defeat itself. Either the prophet’s predictions will come true, in which case, he isn’t a fake, or they won’t…and he is. It isn’t like he can fake such disasters, right? It doesn’t seem like much of a story here. Sorry.
The fact there could be a story here, will not get an exec to bite. There’s a much shorter way to present your story than the route you have chosen here. Either way, I don’t feel this is an engaging narrative. WP
I think you have something here but is it a threat to prove that the guy is a fake? What’s wrong with someone making predictions? You must explain why is it so important for the FBI agent to stop the guy…
Why must they prove he’s a fake? I think that’s what you’re missing. Adding it in will help express the drama.
Interesting premise.
Sounds intriguing and I would be interested in reading the screenplay if it’s done. I can see the FBI agent and his pal the LA detective delving into the “prophets” past and coming up with a mystery sandwich.
Would you be interested in reading it? I can email it to you. Would love your feedback.
There could be something very interesting and good here, but the logline needs a rewrite. The reference to “James Bond” is very vague, as I now get the idea it has action for the sake of box office and gadgets aplenty. If it does not contain the overblown action Bond sequences it could be a nice idea for a suspense, action thriller. I like it.
