This was a fun read and its quirkiness definitely sets it apart. But I agree with the last reader: about part-way through, I started to feel really lost. I was also confused by some things… Dee is adorable/lovable, but then has this one scene with the soap where she’s a total brat. It seemed like Lilly had tampered with her soap in some way (is Lilly a friend or foe? Why’d she have the soap to begin with?), but then that didn’t seem to be the case and instead, Dee shoved it a certain somewhere on her own? This was confusing. I wanted the characters to be a bit clearer and also for their actions to make a bit more sense. I wanted a reason for June to be so passionate about the bluebonnets, and also for everything with Lana to be a bit clearer. I thought her leaving him could happen the night Bill comes back home, to be more explosive, instead of via a letter the next day. Then, since they were split up, I didn’t know why she kept showing up or why he called her later.

Overall, there’s good potential, just needs a rewrite to be a bit clear and fix up grammar issues. Good luck!

I agree, it’s really fast paced and funny then it dies off in areas, maybe thats where it could be cut a little to help keep the flow of the script. Good Character build, concept and it’s well written.

I really liked the quirkness of the story. It starts off funny and crazy and then some scenes I just don’t get or want them to get there faster. Like the photos on the jailhouse wall, i don’t get that and then lana bails out her husband but we see her back at home with no husband whose walking? I’m kind of lost. I thought the sentencing was over the top, that wouldn’t happen. I do like this and I laughed. It’s just even tho it’s quirky, it still needs to be believable, at least in my opinion. I realy thought it was funny. A lot of snot sucking :)
