Southern Hospitality

Bobby’s a loser. He’s got dreams, but he smokes too much, drinks too much, and gambles too much. When $500,000 is stolen from a local crime boss, though, Bobby’s hired to find and return it. Suddenly, he’s thrust down a twisting spiral of illegal Mexicans, shot-gun-totting grandmas, and clueless gangster-wannabes. Welcome to the South like you’ve never seen it before!

I really enjoyed this story. The snakeskin boot character needs more minutes, or is it a glimpse of a sequeal? The story moved quickly and left you looking for what’s next. The structure resounded “Chris Soth” and his three act breakdown with fifteen minute segways. This would be a good project, would love to see this on the screen. Well Done!

Bravo! This is really a fun read. It’s quite a page-turner with a great pace. I think Tarantino fans will be pleased. Only two minor suggestions: One, I think there are perhaps a few too many characters. I would consider cutting one or two to simplify. Second, the guy with the snake-skin boots is confusing to me. I would clarify that a little bit. Otherwise, I would love to see this movie get made. Great job.
