Babies With Rabies

Adam and Lucy are a young couple struggling with the decision of increasing their family by one. Juvenile nonsense! That was a compliment.
Fun, but you may have a hard time selling a comedy with abortion as a central theme.

Adam’s claim that babies wouldn’t go near the clinic is a bit dubious, as they wouldn’t know what the building is, and in their rabid state they wouldn’t care.
He might instead suggest going there as it’s the only building nearby guaranteed to be a “baby-free zone”. This is still questionable logic, but a bit more believable.

P 49 “Yep, no baby in this oven.” Do you mean “bun” in the oven?
P 77 Is Booze attacking Edward or babies? He wouldn’t know Edward is responsible.
P 80 soldier should be shoulder.
Why are hippies living in the sewer? Were their parents communists too?
There would need to be a permanent cure.

Well, like most screenplays it has potential. However, there were so many grammatical errors and format errors. Just to name a few, the cover page is NOT page 1, it does not get a number, (plus the title does not need to be underlined and it should be double spaced.) The title should not be seen again on page 2, (which should be numbered page 1.) The ages of the people should be typed out, for example thirty, not (30.) It does have potential to be good though. For one reason, it is about an entire city and could spread out to the World. So, it isn’t narrow minded and focused on a small town which is good. I Love Films that can be Epic and change the World. So, once it is revised in proper screenplay format and the characters are given more subtext, (more charm and less self centeredness, or at least have them grow in the story into better people,) it could be great. God bless you and I hope it makes it to Theaters.

Inventive turn on the tired zombie genre. Great opening punch, tight action descriptions with effective usage of action verbs. Genuinely laugh out loud moments and great tension between the protagonist couple that ties in well with the theme of the story.

Minor nitpicking includes not quite industry standard in the scene headings and several typos.

Can’t imagine this ever having the marketability to be made into a feature film, but the writer is clearly talented and imaginative and the script would serve well as a writing sample for future projects.

Thanks for reading the script! If you had some time or you took any notes while reading the script, could you point out some examples of where the story structure and dialogue were poorly executed for you? It would help with future drafts of the script. Thanks!

A great twist on the comic Zombie movie theme. I laughed out loud several times. Loved the characters and the dialogue. But, as a Steeler fan I could only love it so much. Very good script, would really like to see the movie no doubt.

Glad you enjoyed it! Making Adam a die hard giants fan was bound to polarize some but I rest soundly at night knowing that none of my characters will ever be cowboys fans! Thanks again for taking the time to read it.

Brilliant and funny script with massive potential for cult movie status. I love comic horror and we need more of it. I have yet to finish it as life gets in the way, but will complete it soon. May it rain mutant babies!
