Ascending Stairs

The main narrative, set in a modern metropolis, leads the aged main character to a hotel, a place of his childhood. Since then, the world around him has changed. He idealizes the past and condemns the present. The circumstances which brought him there, in both instances, are revisited. In the course of the film he sees that not all was well when he was younger.

This didn’t really do for me, sorry. I’m not saying that I’m a format nazi, but there’s a page number on the first page and it’s in the wrong position. So now I look like a format nazi. That didn’t bother me too mmuch, it’s just then we go into a ‘characters’ thing, which doesn’t really belong in the script. It isn’t until page five that we actually get to the script-story bit, and then I’m wondering, ‘is this a stage-play?’.

There’s a lot of this that I simply didn’t understand, and unfortuately, a lot of that is due to the way in which it was written. For example:
A BENCH AT A POLICE STATION IN POV
    — I think I know what this means, but it took a couple of reads, and I still feel that I’m assuming somewhat.

This needs a major re-write, I’m sorry to say.

    Good luck with it.
