is an ONLINE COMPETITION. Scripts should only be submitted
electronically though email or
www.WITHOUTABOX.com as a PDF File.

Screenplays must be
90 to 135 pages
in length. No Shorts, Stage Plays, or Teleplays.
- Screenplays must be submitted in English.
Any Country May Submit and/or Vote!- All writers of submitted material must be
18 years or older, including co-authored material.

- Screenplays must be the
original work
of the author.
- Screenplays adapted from other sources that
were written by other authors (such as but not limited to books or
plays) are not eligible to compete in Philadelphia's Screenplay Fest
Competition, regardless of the source author's permission.
- Screenplays adapted from other sources by the
author of that source are not eligible to compete in Philadelphia's
Screenplay Fest Competition if the source material has previously
optioned, sold or produced.
- Screenplays that have been previously optioned,
sold or produced are not eligible to compete in Philadelphia's Screenplay Fest Competition.

If you are the Log Line Contest winner and
happen to win the Screenplay Contest - you will not receive duplicate
awards. Those rewards will go to the next highest rated Honorable
Mention Screenplay.

SCREENPLAY ONLINE VOTING PROCESS RULES:
- Not every screenplay submission
will be uploaded to Screenplay Fest's website for its Online GRAND PRIZE
Contest. However, screenplays submitted to the appropriate deadlines
will ALL be posted into our individual Online Contests.
- Only a MINIMUM OF 16 SCREENPLAYS
or a MAXIMUM OF 30
(considered "Quarter-Finalists") will be uploaded to Screenplay Fest's
Online GRAND PRIZE Contest for voting. The maximum depends on strength of the
submissions.
- The winning Screenplays are determined
by the average of the Members' votes plus the average of the Judges' votes
(50% Members + 50% Judges).
- Anyone may be a Member and Vote! Your
screenplay does not have to be accepted into Screenplay Fest's Online
Contest to be a member and to vote-on / review a screenplay.
- How do I become a Member? Simply,
click on the link "Enter the Screenplay
Competition," and cast your first vote on a screenplay (once the
online festival is running). Use the same Username, and you're a member!
- Each member (contestant or other) will
be able to vote ONE time on every script. You may NOT vote on the
same Screenplay more than once. If you do so you will be disqualified.
- ***EVERYONE MUST "vote on and review" a
minimum of TWO screenplays (other than your own) for
your votes to count, and to be eligible for
"The
$40 Voter's Award."

Contestants
will receive 2 Screenplay Assignments via email, which they must VOTE ON and
REVIEW or they risk elimination.
GENRE SUBMISSION RULES:
- All submissions qualify a screenplay
to compete in ONE "Genre Group."
- There are FOUR Groups of
Genres:

Drama
-
Comedy / Family
-
Thriller / Horror
-
Action / Adventure / Sci-Fi /
Fantasy
- Submitting a screenplay to TWO Genre
Groups requires an additional fee of $15.00.
- Benefits:
- Awards (Virtual Pitchfest,
SellaScript.com, and Scripped) are given to the Genre Winners.
- The TWO highest rated screenplays
from each genre will be uploaded to Screenplay Fest's Online Contest.

MULTIPLE SCREENPLAY SUBMISSION RULES:
- A writer may enter more than one
screenplay; however, a separate entry form and fee (or two separate
submissions through WITHOUTABOX) are required for each script submitted.
- For more than two screenplay
submissions, there is a $5.00 discount on two of the screenplay submissions
(ie, submitting three screenplays would equal a $10.00 total discount). If
you submit through WITHOUTABOX, your total discount will be reimbursed.
SCREENPLAY REVISION RULES:
- Submissions of new drafts or corrected Screenplays will be
accepted during only the GRAND PRIZE Contest as long as they follow the terms: One Free Revision for each
contestant. Further revisions include a
$20.00 processing fee. Unlimited revision submissions.
RESUBMISSION RULES:
- You may Resubmit your Screenplay to a
future individual contest in that year for a discount of $10.00 off the
Deadline Fee. For Example, if you participated in the Early Deadline Online
Competition, and would like to Resubmit an updated version of the same
screenplay to the Late Deadline Online Competition, you will be discounted
$10.00 off the ORIGINAL Late Deadline Entrance Fee.

INDIVIDUAL ONLINE CONTEST RULES:
FOR LOG LINE COMPETITION WINNERS:
- FREE Entrance Fee - Only for the
Top Three Winners
of the Log Line Competition. Label the Application -
"Logline Top Three Winner."
- $25 Entrance Fee - Only for the
Honorable Mention Finalists
of the Log Line Competition.
